Out of Town

For our out of town customers we have provided a couple of tools to make the decision to make a purchase on a vehicle you necessarily haven’t seen in person. We appreciate that this is a huge leap of faith and understand the concerns you may have in doing this. In today’s market though this is becoming more and more common placed and on average about 15-20 % of all of our vehicles are purchased in just this way. We are proud to say that in all the cases where we have shipped a car to its new home we have never had a customer who has not been totally satisfied with the car when it arrives. We have sold cars the whole length of the country and have streamlined it to make it as simple and straight forward as possible. We are happy to work with you through the process and will help put your mind at ease so you can make an informed decision once you feel comfortable that the car is right for you. The following steps may help guide you through and you may decide to use all of them or just a couple.

1/ Testimonials- here we have purposely selected some customers who just like you live out of Christchurch and purchased their car blind. Here you will see that we have delivered what we have promised and the customer is satisfied with what rolls off the truck at their location.

2/ Initial enquiry- here you can either pick up the phone or send an email. This starts the ball rolling and gives you the opportunity to gather a little bit more information about the car and the timeframes around transport etc.

3/ In depth photos- here we can send some close up photos of any areas of concern or interest. This is a great way to see the significance of any stone chips or other marks you may have been told about over the phone. Being told there is a scrape on the bumper may sound terrible but once we highlight it in a photo you’ll see how minor it actually is. It’s also a good way to check features that are important to you.

4/ Independent mechanical inspection- An independent mechanical inspection helps build faith in the integrity of the vehicle. We recommend the company listed below because they are thorough, they offer a Pick Up and Drop Off service, their pricing is at the lower end of what companies charge for Pre-Purchase Inspections, and unlike most companies, they do a compression test as part of their inspection, which should be a must for buyers wanting an inspection, as this tells you’re the state of health of the engine.
