In the heyday of the mid 80's to the early 90's a few car manufacturers started shoe horning powerful engines and sports tuning into small hatchbacks quickly earning the catchphrase of 'HOT HATCH'. The Volkswagen Golf GTi was there right at the beginning of that revolution and since then many times reinvented but never losing that original spec that makes a 'HOT HATCH' hot. They are always popular and its easy to see why. The Golf GTi is just such a good, fun well rounded package. Powered by a 2000cc turbo charged chain driven engine and coupled to a 6 speed DSG gearbox that is not like a standard auto but provides slick gear changing. So much so, that these cars are actually quicker with this box than they are in manual, as a human can't change gears as quick as the DSG can! The sound from these cars when under load is also pretty inspiring and invigorating. Finished in Arctic White with black 17 inch alloys and low profile tyres, this very tidy hot hatch goes as good as it looks! The interior is so cool with the vintage inspired tartan bucket seats, which hold you firmly in place if you get adventurous and start throwing it through the corners, while 12 airbags adds to the safety features.
