ITS ELECTRIFYING

The MG EV Essence is no slouch in the electric vehicle world and MG seem to have understood that not everyone that wants an EV wants to skip on the luxuries. Kitted out with an 8 touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as reversing camera and satellite navigation, 6-way electric drivers seat, heated front seats, leather trimmed steering wheel, panoramic glass electric sunroof, keyless entry and start, synthetic leather interior trim, and a set of super cool looking17 alloy wheels.
Propulsion is delivered by an electric motor pumping out 105Kw or 353Nm of torque powered by a liquid-cooled 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery provides enough energy to cover 263km WLTP range (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) when new.
MG Pilot includes traffic sign recognition, smart cruise control with traffic jam assist, rear cross traffic alert, active emergency braking, lane keep assist, auto high beams, and blind spot detection. Other safety features include brake assist, ESP, active cornering brake control, hill start assist, and pedestrian alert. All of this makes for a safe motoring experience helping protect both passengers and pedestrians alike.
The ZS can be charged from 0% to 80% in 45 minutes using a 50kW DC charger, for a 7kW AC installed home charger it takes approximately 7 hours. For a 22kW public charger it takes approximately 2.5 hours. For the 10A home charger with domestic plug supplied it takes around 30 hours.
This ZS has been well maintained from new with all its servicing having been carried out by the franchise dealer here in Christchurch.
